About Jonathan Mendoza
Jonathan Mendoza has history in the Inland Empire. He is an advocate now fighting for the people he calls his "neighbors". Before he became the advocate he is now, in both Criminal defense and Immigration defense legal work, he earned his law degree at the University of La Verne, College of Law, in Ontario, California.
While attending law school, Jonathan served as president of the Hispanic National Bar Association and clerked at the Riverside Public Defender's Office, helping indigent clients facing criminal charges get a fair trial. As a student immigration attorney for the Justice and Immigration Clinic, he offered to speak on behalf of those who had no voice before the law. He provided representation to migrants seeking asylum and humanitarian relief in the United States. And the people he helped brought stories with them—stories of persecution and hardship, but also stories of hope and of the impact ever-changing laws have on the dreams of hard working families. After law school Jonathan returned to the Public Defenders where he successfully litigated thousands of cases through both negotiations and trials, obtaining the best possible results for his clients. In 2017 Attorney Jonathan Mendoza formed Empire Law, Inc., where the hard lessons learned as a public defender still help him battle for people facing the fights of their lives today. |
